The Milwaukee Brewers erased an early four-run deficit to beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4 in Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday and take a 2-0 series lead.
“Guys just, they don’t give up,” Brewers manager Pat Murphy said. “They believe, and they don’t give up. They just keep going.”
Brewers reliever Aaron Ashby secured the final five outs to record the save, striking out Yandy Dìaz and stranding the tying run at third base to end the game. The left-hander hasn’t allowed a run in eight appearances this postseason.
