Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee and is expected to be sidelined for up to two months, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Edwards appeared on the injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors due to right knee injury management. He received the same designation for Monday’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, though he ultimately played and scored 47 points on over 50% shooting.
The star guard is averaging 33.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game through four contests this season. His 133 total points and 50 made field goals both lead the NBA.
