Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras capped off an incredible postseason by winning World Series MVP.
Conteras is the eighth catcher to win World Series MVP and first since Salvador Perez in 2015. He slashed .381/.435/.429 with four RBIs over five games while playing great defense behind the plate.
It’s been a remarkable year for the 28-year-old. Contreras helped lead Venezuela to its first World Baseball Classic title in March, before earning his third All-Star appearance in July, and now winning his first World Series championship.
