Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs has requested a trade, sources told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Downs’ request comes as the Colts have begun to position themselves as sellers ahead of the trade deadline. They traded guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday.
Star running back Jonathan Taylor has reportedly also garnered interest from the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, and Minnesota Vikings. However, Colts head coach Shane Steichen said Wednesday that Taylor hasn’t requested a trade, according to ESPN’s Stephen Holder.
