The Green Bay Packers improved to 5-3 this season with a 27-19 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football at Lambeau Field.
Carolina scored a touchdown with under six minutes left to cut the lead to one score, but the Packers ran the clock down on their final offensive possession, effectively icing the game.
Jordan Love diced up the Panthers’ defense, throwing for 288 yards with three touchdown passes. Christian Watson, who went to the hospital during the game to be evaluated for a chest injury, ultimately returned in the second half and led the Packers with 113 receiving yards.
