Canelo Álvarez defeated Christian Mbilli via unanimous decision to reclaim the WBC 168-pound championship Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The judges scored the fight 115-112, 116-111, and 117-110 in Álvarez’s favor.
Álvarez stepped into the ring for the first time since dropping the undisputed title to Terence Crawford in September 2025. He returned to the win column and is now a three-time super middleweight champion.
