Former NFL quarterback Russell Wilson interviewed for the head coaching position at NC State on Tuesday, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Wilson, a 10-time Pro Bowler, played college football at NC State from 2008-10 before transferring to Wisconsin in 2011. He has no coaching experience.
NC State fired former head coach Dave Doeren on Oct. 24 after going 3-4 to begin his 14th season with the program. Interim coach Todd Goebbel led the Wolfpack to a 31-10 victory over Cal in their first game since Doeren’s departure.
