Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is week-to-week with a quad injury, head coach Mike Macdonald said Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Brady Henderson.
Darnold hurt his quad late in Monday’s loss against the Chicago Bears. He also cracked a rib on the second play of the game. However, Darnold won’t go on injured reserve, Macdonald added, per Henderson.
Drew Lock will make his second start of the season Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. He missed Seattle’s last two games with a right elbow injury.
Darnold went 17-for-34 with 188 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception versus Chicago. He’s thrown for 1,478 yards this season and has 10 touchdowns to nine interceptions.
