The New York Mets placed outfielder Juan Soto on the 10-day injured list due to a right calf strain, the team announced Monday.
The club noted that a typical recovery timeline for this injury is around two-to-three weeks. The move is retroactive to Saturday.
Soto suffered the injury while running the bases during Friday night’s win over the San Francisco Giants. He was deemed day-to-day after undergoing an MRI on Saturday.
