The road to Omaha is officially here. The 2026 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship is set to deliver weeks of high-stakes postseason action as 64 teams battle through Regionals, Super Regionals, and the Men’s College World Series at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.

The tournament features dramatic elimination games, powerhouse programs, and future MLB stars chasing a national championship.

How the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament Works

The NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament begins with a 64-team field announced during Selection Monday. Teams then advance through multiple stages:

  • Regionals: Four-team double-elimination format
  • Super Regionals: Best-of-three series
  • Men’s College World Series: Eight teams compete in Omaha
  • Championship Series: Best-of-three national title series
