Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield dislocated his right thumb late in the team’s 23-16 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, head coach Todd Bowles said postgame, according to ESPN’s Jenna Laine.
Mayfield will undergo an MRI on Monday, Bowles added. A timeline will be determined afterward, but Mayfield is likely to miss time, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Mayfield was hurt on a pass attempt in the fourth quarter and grabbed his right thumb as he left the field.
