Some NFL doctors think it’s a matter of when, not if, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will injure his left elbow again, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
There are medical professionals around the league – including some that haven’t examined Daniels – who believe the signal-caller is at a higher risk of suffering further damage to his arm because he’s already dislocated his elbow twice over the last year, Schefter adds.
Daniels will wear a brace to protect his non-throwing elbow for the rest of the season starting Sunday as he returns to the lineup against the New York Giants.
The 25-year-old missed the last two games after sustaining the ailment in Washington’s Week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He was a full participant in every practice this week and has no injury designation for Sunday.
