Miami hires Josh Gattis to be football team’s new offensive coordinator

Posted on February 6, 2022February 6, 2022 by Santiago Leon

Miami has finalized a deal to hire Michigan’s Josh Gattis as its new offensive coordinator. As the Wolverines’ offensive coordinator in 2021, Gattis won the Broyles Award as the nation’s top assistant and is regarded as one of the country’s rising coaching prospects.

Gattis has already texted his players and informed them that he’s leaving. In a text to some Michigan players, Gattis said, “Unfortunately the past few weeks has told a different story to me about the very little appreciation I have here from administration. In life I would never advise anyone to be where they are not wanted …”

BREAKING: Michigan OC Josh Gattis is accepting the Miami’s offensive coordinator job, per source. The 38-year-old Gattis who helped the Wolverines to the Big Ten title in 2021, won the Broyles Award as the nation’s top assistant coach. Big addition for the Canes.
