Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has refuted a rumor linking him with a potential move to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“I’d have to be on board with it – which I’m not,” Lawrence said on the “Up & Adams Show.” “I’m happy here in Jacksonville. … We want to win a Super Bowl here, and I think we can do that. And I don’t want to leave Jacksonville. … I’m not going to Pittsburgh.”
The rumor suggested the quarterback-needy Steelers inquired about trading for Lawrence. But Lawrence has a no-trade clause, and a Jaguars source told ESPN’s Michael DiRocco that the idea was “ridiculous” and had “no chance.”
