Jake Paul’s fight with Gervonta Davis has been moved from Atlanta’s State Farm Arena to Miami’s Kaseya Center on Nov. 14, streaming live on Netflix.
The switch comes after Georgia regulators raised concerns and Paul’s promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, withdrew its permit requests, citing bias from commission chairman Rick Thompson. Co-founder Nakisa Bidarian said no tickets were ever on sale and accused Thompson of misrepresenting facts, forcing the event to relocate.
Paul promised to “seek and destroy” in Miami, while Davis dismissed Paul as a “cherry picker” who picked the wrong opponent. Press conferences have been rescheduled for Sept. 22 in New York and Sept. 23 in Miami.
The biggest unresolved issue is the weight limit: Paul last fought at cruiserweight (~199 lbs) while Davis typically competes around 134 lbs. Bidarian said those details will be announced at next week’s press event.
