San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy could miss additional games after aggravating his toe injury last week, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
Purdy, who was inactive Thursday against the Los Angeles Rams, sustained turf toe in Week 1 and missed two games. He returned last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars but suffered a setback during the matchup, according to Rapoport. An MRI reportedly confirmed an aggravation of Purdy’s turf toe.
The 25-year-old is now considered week-to-week, and his status to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 12 is uncertain, Rapoport adds. Purdy has completed 65.8% of his passes with 586 yards and four touchdowns against four interceptions in two appearances this season.
