Russell Westbrook made NBA history in the Sacramento Kings’ 129-102 loss Friday to the Phoenix Suns.
The 18-year vet surpassed Oscar Robertson on the league’s all-time points list to become the highest-scoring point guard in history. He’s now 15th overall on the Association’s all-time scoring leaderboard.
“He continues to break records,” Kings head coach Doug Christie told reporters postgame. “Russ is a freak of nature. His competitiveness. His competitive drive. His spirit to continue to play as hard as he does at … Year 18 or whatever it is. Always been a fan of his. It’s an absolute honor to coach him.”
