Indiana Fever sensation Caitlin Clark has been named the 2024 Rookie of the Year, sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
The former Iowa star led all first-years with 19.2 points per game. She also averaged a rookie-record 8.4 assists while shooting 41.7% from the floor and 34.4% from three.
The 22-year-old shattered several league records in her first professional campaign: She became the first rookie to record multiple triple-doubles and set a new single-season mark by any player with 337 total assists, helped in part by the single-game record 19 she posted in a July 17 loss to the Dallas Wings.
