Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis will not undergo hand surgery following a second opinion from a specialist Tuesday, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
It was reported earlier Tuesday that Davis was trending toward surgery, which would have ruled the Mavericks big man out for several months. Though he won’t go under the knife, Davis will still reportedly miss at least six weeks.
Despite the 32-year-old’s latest injury, the Mavericks have been engaged in talks with multiple teams about possibly trading Davis by the Feb. 5 deadline, according to Charania.
