Diego Pavia is aiming to boost his NFL draft stock with the Senior Bowl and combine approaching. The Vanderbilt quarterback measured 5’9 7/8” and 198 pounds ahead of the Senior Bowl, confirming long-running questions about his height after he was previously listed at 6’0”. While his size sparked debate, scouts are unlikely to place major emphasis on it, given the success of other sub-6’0” NFL quarterbacks.
Pavia is expected to be measured again at the NFL Combine, which should further validate his height. On the field, he delivered a standout final season, throwing for 3,539 yards, 29 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, while adding 862 rushing yards and 10 scores.
Despite his Heisman-caliber production, Pavia is not viewed as a top quarterback prospect in this draft class. Still, a strong showing at the Senior Bowl and combine could help him earn a roster spot, even if he’s unlikely to be selected early.
