Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg will miss Thursday’s contest against the Los Angeles Lakers as well as the Rising Stars game after an MRI revealed a left midfoot sprain, the team announced Wednesday.
Flagg sustained the injury during Tuesday’s matchup versus the Phoenix Suns. It’s unclear when Flagg suffered the injury, as he played 36 minutes before exiting for good with 19.8 seconds remaining.
The No. 1 overall pick isn’t expected to miss time beyond All-Star Weekend, a source told ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.
