Wednesday’s Detroit Pistons vs. Oklahoma City Thunder matchup is one of the more intriguing ones on the slate today. This game will take place in the Paycom Center in Oklahoma. The hosts won the first encounter in a close 113-107 encounter. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 48 points in that mid-March victory. Tobias Harris, meanwhile, had scored a team-high 18 points.
Harris is on the injury report but is expected to play. Cade Cunningham, however, is listed as doubtful. Ronald Holland II, Marcus Sasser, and Isaiah Stewart are out for the Pistons due to suspension. Tonight’s hosts will be without Aaron Wiggins.
Over/Under for Detroit Pistons vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
This is a difficult game to predict with Cunningham out. This OKC side, though, is a well-oiled machine. More importantly, on both ends of the court, they have the talent and execute their game plan for most of the 48 minutes. They should be able to get themselves going on offense while limiting the visitors’ flow.
For Detroit, it will be hard unless someone steps up and goes on an individual run on the road in one of the best league environments. It’s always a possibility, but not likely for this one. Considering where the point total is at, going with the under is the most likely option to lean on here.
Final pick: Under 231.5 (-115)
Moneyline/Spread for Detroit Pistons vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
OKC is winning in their home court setting tonight. The spread is a little more of a question. That being said, with Cunningham, the visitors covering could have been something of a higher possibility. As long as the number stays around where it is, it will be difficult for Detroit to keep this one within the margins.
Most likely, either SGA or Chet Holmgren (who is coming off an off-game) takes over, and the game gets put out of hand very quickly. The underdogs covering or surprising and outright winning could always happen. More likely than not, however, the Thunder cover.
