Preview: Barcelona vs Inter Milan

Posted on October 2, 2019October 2, 2019 by Santiago Leon

Barcelona vs Inter Milan

Champions League 2019/20 season
Venue: Camp Nou

Date: Wednesday 2nd October, 2019
Kick-off time: 3pm EST

Barcelona are looking to kickstart their Champions League campaign as Inter Milan head to Camp Nou this evening

Barca have had a difficult start to the season, losing two of their opening seven La Liga games and holding on for a goalless draw at Borussia Dortmund in their opening Group F game.

Inter also drew their opening game at home to Slavia Prague, but Antonio Conte’s side sit top of Serie A with six wins from six – and the Nerazzurri should offer the Blaugrana a real contest in Catalonia.

Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele have been passed fit to be included in the Barcelona squad to face Inter in the Champions League.

Inter without Lukaku.

Barcelona have only lost once in their last nine games versus Inter Milan (W4 D4 L1), losing at the San Siro in April 2010 (1-3).

Internazionale have lost five of their six visits to face Barcelona at the Camp Nou, winning the other in January 1970 in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup (2-1), courtesy of goals from Roberto Boninsegna and Mario Bertini.

Inter have failed to score in more away games against Barcelona than they have versus any other team in European competition in their history (5/6).

Barcelona have won 29 of their last 32 Champions League games at the Camp Nou (D3), with their last defeat dating back to May 2013 against Bayern Munich (0-3).

Inter have lost their last two away UEFA Champions League matches, with one of those at Camp Nou against Barcelona – they have never lost three in a row in the competition.

Barcelona have failed to score in their last two UEFA Champions League matches – they have never gone three games without a goal in the competition. They last failed to score in three European games in a row in March 1988 in the UEFA Cup.

Last Two Matches

11/6/18 – INT 1 BAR 1

10/24/18 – BAR 2 INT 0

Our Prediction

#ChampionsLeague today, who you got: @FCBarcelona or #Inter ? #BARINT #Barcelona #InterMilan #ucl
