The University of Alabama released a statement today that Tua Tagovailoa had a successful surgery. The procedure was done at his right hip, where he suffered during a hit against Mississippi State this past Saturday.
Statement on Tua Tagovailoa from Dr. Lyle Cain:
“Tua underwent successful surgery on his right hip Monday morning in Houston. The procedure went as planned, and he is resting comfortably. Tua’s prognosis is excellent, and we expect him to make a full recovery. He will return to Tuscaloosa in the next several days to begin his rehab.”

Tua Tagovailoa underwent on his surgery on his right hip this morning in Houston and, according to Alabama, “his prognosis is excellent.”

Tua is set to miss the rest of the season. His future in college football or the NFL remains uncertain.
