While Justin Herbert had a season low for passing yards in his final game at Autzen Stadium, Oregon’s senior quarterback didn’t seem all that disappointed.

ORE-Utah Pac-12 Championship Preview
The Oregon Ducks will be the underdog in the Pac-12 Championship game against Utah this coming week. The first lines were released in Las Vegas sportsbooks on Sunday morning with Utah a 4.5-point favorite over the Oregon Ducks at CG Technology who operates a number of major Las Vegas sportsbooks.
Oregon is coming off a 24-10 win in the Civil War against Oregon State and could clinch their first Rose Bowl bid since the 2014 season when Oregon played in the first College Football Playoff.
Utah is looking to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive a convincing win over Oregon to show the committee that the Utes are one of the top four teams in the country. If Utah wins, they’ll be guaranteed at least the Rose Bowl but are looking for more.
Although not a point spread, ESPN’s Football Power Index currently gives the Ducks a 51% win probability based on their computer projections.
Utah Head coach Kyle Whittingham’s team is looking to become the second Pac-12 South team to win the title clash and, in the process, impress enough members of the selection committee to earn the No. 4 seed in the final playoff rankings.

You’re the reason they lost Arizona state because you just literally played a horrible game. You came back the next week you think on your last game ever announced in stadium and you thought you’d be really dialed in Nope. Once again throwing balls into the ground, throwing balls way out in front of receivers, overthrow and wide open receivers in the end zone. Like honestly quit quit the coach speech and just go out there and win then win because you are the man win because you are the projected first quarterback when because you are supposed to be the best player in the PAC 12 win. Because of that stead Don’t be the reason why possibly the game wasn’t as cool as it was. If you would have completed the pass for wide open jajuan Johnson perfectly schemes by the coaches down if you would have been up by 21 points in the third quarter. I mean, two of those guys can be first round draft picks and Jared tailwater will be a first round draft pick next year. So and Nadia Harris is going to probably be a for a second round draft pick. So I don’t know I did more about it will probably make people question to have because of it. injuries and also with the more the scheme and the weapons that he wants to do you got Jacob, he said who has been very inconsistent? Is that because of his system or that because he’s just a consistent and then you got Justin Herbert who was just Justin Herbert, which is the most inconsistent quarterback in college football. And then I’d say the only probably the safest bet is probably Joe Berle but you have to wonder Joe perot didn’t win the job at Ohio State. Joe burrow didn’t look very good his junior year at LSU. Is that more Joe Brady than Joe Bro, I would say this year’s quarterback class is a little bit of a question mark based upon a few things. That being said, I think Justin erver because he is 66 because he is to 40 because he has a good athletes because he has a very good arm because he does have experience because he did have a solid Record he did at times lead his team to victory I guess against Washington Washington State debatable, but he they did. He was the quarterback on the game when he drives if he is able to lead them to the PAC 12 title if he’s able to lead them to a road called victory. Big touchdown on the kill right freshman second kickoff return for a touchdown. That kind of really was a they got ahead by that early in the game and never looked back there. Like I said they ran the ball pretty good. Weather was terrible for the passing game and very inconsistent. The defense played very well. It’s seven time this year they’ve held a team to 10 points or under there now we’re back in the top 15 and defensive efficiency. I believe when this season is all said and done, I believe the defense will end up higher rated than their office. That’s probably the first time for Oregon and I don’t know 1620 years. So yeah, they won. It was not a great looking game. I honest To be honest, they’ve won that game over USC, and then the free game sense. They’ve had two underwhelming victories of not very good Team and then they have the bad loss Arizona State. Oregon is not exactly trending in the right direction and I don’t know why. It’s not like a bunch of injuries have happened yesterday had a wide receiver to go down office alignments against up with the nothing crazy. I don’t understand why the team is not quite playing as well. And yeah, I don’t know why pervert claim worse. It’s a little confusing. It happened last year. After they beat Washington they went that tailspin where they lost three out of four got smashed by Arizona on the road. maybe. Okay, I’m gonna I’m gonna clarify just so I don’t have any like, pasty conclusions put on to play. I said I’m a little bit skeptical of the coaching staff overall academics. No, I do not take my own crystal ball is even a year, two years, maybe even three years from even being close to 90. I do worry that possibly we could bring it in very good talent. I think he’s one of the best recruiters for a head football coach in college football. He was a 2015 National recruiter of the Year by 2474 is undoubtedly a great recruiter. I sometimes worry about some of the in game adjustments. I sometimes worry about some of the in game overall game management like timeouts going to force down where the pot where to go for it. Some of those type of things I worry about, and I worry a little bit about his some of his support staff possibly the overall identity of the office. More the offense, defense got better. It’s tough to question the defense when the defense and every statistical error area is better this year than last year. So I’m not really going to question the defense when they are better in total yards if they’re given less yards. Again on last point, they forced more turnovers they get more sacks. I don’t really question that defense that better statistically in every area, so I’m gonna say Andy abalos and his staff did a good job. The offense not so much they basically have been kind of the same. And that’s returning a senior quarterback and and four and five, sorry, starting offensive lineman, including four seniors. I am a little more what’s the word she mean skeptical about the offense. I’m a little skeptical about some of the end game decisions in Game Day management. And I Bradley and I You have one of the best linebackers and cosmopolis Bernard is an inside linebacker probably will be a middle round draft pick, arguably the best corner in the PAC 12 and Jalen Johnson and maybe the best safety and Julian Blackmun. I’m looking forward to there at Rickie Fowler to possibly the best defensive lineman in the PAC 12. They are maybe maybe the best coach in the past. Kyle winningham has been a very successful coach his old 10 year taking over for Urban Meyer back early, I think 14 years ago. There’s so much to like about Utah. But there is a couple things. But when you go by it, you know, you saw the USC game, they took advantage. USC took advantage with a third string quarterback of the kind of the size and athletic ability of the big wide receivers. They upset us on Washington early when they jumped out to big lead. You know, they saw that some of the like the smaller dB, the other guy other than Jonathan and they get a good rate you fast the small you got taken advantage of a little bit so does the safety on the ball over the prior Washington lead got out to the big lead. You see sometimes, where teams are able to take advantage of some of the lack of talent, certain areas of the team. So there’s that. And there’s also so much on the line for you Todd, this is a school that was owned has only been a power five school for under a decade. They moved from the Mountain West over to the cash flow. They finally are in a place that they can possibly make the college football player. that burden sometimes can be too much for people and handle the pressure and sometimes guys that have been playing loose that just scoping out going out being themselves tighten up especially an atmosphere like Levi Stadium, which is cut the big stadium 49 years play there but it’s not a great college football stadium and it’s kind of big, kind of flat. Probably not the best emotional game and a lot of emotion can go into guys. You know? You know, sometimes the fans help bring up this emotion help you all this emotion but with a big stadium The name is not that loud. You have to fuel it. What if all of a sudden they’re they’re tight and then they come out flat and maybe a couple things don’t go their way and then the emotion in the stadium is just blah. I don’t know because I saw last year so the practical championship it used to tell the guys are both teams are struggling to really get any energy in that stadium. There’s a 10 three Dave, I saw the ducks ducks played Michigan State and the Redbox bowl, they won 76 once again, that is kind of that motion of the stadium kind of dead you kind of gotta do yourself. Well for a team it’s it’s kind of overachieved sometimes probably played off of having that edge just being there. On what is it not like tight, flattens them out, you know? there’s just there’s just some of those, like outside for subjective but there’s kind of an outside variable. That makes me wonder if you’re tall could have too much on the line in this game and that stadium that it might not play like dabble here.

But you look at because as a team, there have been a more consistent team than Morgan. Like I’ve looked at them play weekend week out there more you kind of know you get you get a team that efficient on offense, a team that doesn’t give up big plays and forces turnovers on defense. Tough to run on tough to consistently drive the field on defense on offense. You know, Huntley is very accurate as a passer when he gets rushed to use the gets rid of the ball or he moves the chains with his legs with positive yardage. Boss is a good player get positive yards pretty much in every carry. They’re just a very efficient team. And that’s why I think if they do win the PAC 12 championship, I think they deserve it more than Oklahoma, because I think overall off at the defense, they are more efficient teams in Oklahoma is there they have been more efficient. I don’t think they quite have the talent of Oklahoma. I think Oklahoma actually would be more apt to possibly pull off an upset over in Ohio State. But if you’re just going to go off of a team that’s been more efficient on a weekend week out basis and has consistently dominated their office position by just being better on both sides of the ball and you talk better. But that being said, lack of overall baseline talent, and the fact that there’s so much on the line that can cause a team to tighten up. It’s an interesting game. Also, like I said, they had the best dl in the PAC 12 but Oregon combats that with one of the best offensive line not just in the PAC 12 but in college football. Oregon does have some big receivers guys like jajuan Johnson like Spencer Webb, that maybe could take advantage of those smaller DVDs like a good Ray or that the WHO THE OTHER DVD that someone like USC and even Washington early on. Um, defensively, you told the offensive line is okay, but it’s not great. Can you talk can already get started. Can Oregon get pressure on Tyler Huntley maybe forced him a little bit outside where he has to make some plays. And I think the tight ends a good guy but the other weapons at the wide receiver position. Simpkins and Nicola I think they’re solid players. They’re not terrific. They’re not elite. I think that Oregon defense secondary unless it unless they play like they did against Washington State and Arizona state they had a couple of really bad games. But the other 10 games this season the defensive backfield and very good, including against Oregon State. So if they can play well, they can force Huntley. They could maybe make them a little one dimensional where they’re having trouble getting the ball down the field, making them pass and making the offense a little one dimensional. Yeah, there’s definitely some scenarios where I like Oregon, I think Oregon has a little more baseline talent. But I do think that what Utah’s definitely the had been the more efficient team they’ve been the more consistent team Yeah, I am struggling with this game I really don’t know which way to go because of a couple variables obviously My heart wants Oregon. But I don’t know if my head say a nap but also my head’s also taking me a different direction to some kind of a breakdown of Oregon Utah.
