An SEC task force, comprised of medical professionals representing the 14 universities, is guiding the SEC as it prepares for membership decisions related to the return of athletics activities.
SEC university presidents will vote in the next two weeks on whether athletes can return to campus next month, The Advocate is reporting.
Verge Ausberry, the LSU executive deputy athletic director, told the Louisiana Economic Recovery Task Force on Thursday the vote will take place “at a later date.” The vote, however, would determine whether athletes return June 1 or June 15, per the report. Therefore, the vote will presumably take place this month.
In addition, the league announced Thursday a task force – comprised of medical professionals representing the 14 SEC schools – is guiding the conference as it prepares for decisions related to the return of athletics activities.
