Big East Cancels Fall Sports
The Big East Conference said Wednesday that it will postpone its fall sports season, joining the Pac-12 and Big Ten in pausing play out of concern for the welfare of student-athletes during the coronavirus pandemic.
“This very difficult decision came after an exhaustive review by our Presidents and Athletics Directors and followed consideration of NCAA guidance, COVID-19 case counts and trend lines nationally and in BIG EAST communities, and the many unknowns surrounding testing availability, turnaround time and travel restrictions in our 11 locales,” said Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman.
“We take pride in the high-level competition and experiences we provide to our fall sports student-athletes, and we share their deep disappointment that this will not be a normal year.”
The decision does not affect men’s and women’s basketball, Ackerman added.

When do the 2020 NBA Playoffs begin?
The 2020 NBA Playoffs first round schedule will be released following the the conclusion of the NBA Restart seeding games in Orlando on Aug. 14. The playoffs will begin on Aug. 17.
When is the Play-In Game(s)?
ABC will air the NBA’s Western Conference play-in game Saturday, Aug. 15 at 2:30 p.m. ET. The Western Conference eighth and ninth seeded teams will battle it out for a chance to play in the 2020 Western Conference Playoffs. If the eighth seed team wins Saturday’s matchup, that team will advance to the playoffs. If the ninth seed wins, a second game will be played on ESPN Sunday, Aug. 16 beginning at 4:30 p.m.
When are the NBA Finals?
The NBA Finals will begin on Sept 30, 2020.

You talked about that the geese can sing which is I mean in light of all the you know, the other conferences You know, when you’re talking about the major players that uses a basketball conference. So, obviously, I do feel bad for any athlete as their sport canceled, but you know, we really don’t care too much, you know, as much about, you know, Providence country than we do, you know, Ohio State football because you’re losing the big 10 and Pac 12 a very big deal. And that was in the last, you know, Boise State. That’s a powerhouse in college football Sandia. Big news, you know, the next state shutting down the football team today. Yeah. What a crazy time Santiago. What a crazy time. The Big East Conference said Wednesday that it will postpone its full sports season joining the PAC 12 and big 10 and pausing play out of concern for the welfare of student athletes during the coronavirus pandemic.

Well, it’s true, you know, when you talk about the canceling, you know, when you have the cancelling of the Mac fall sports and you know, the canceling model is it’s more of a funding issue because to keep players safe, or at least see the column of you know, what’s going on and attesting it cost money. And, you know, the Big East, Major, you know, money is basketball. You know, in the Mac and iOS yet I make money on football. But now that I’m now playing these big money games, necessarily, it’s not easy to think about the Mountain West plays or money games. Are they playing against San Diego? Pac 12? The Mac? Who are they planning their money games against the big 10? So you take those two conferences away. So now football doesn’t make that much money? And how are you supposed to pay for all these tests? It’s what you know, they can say is for health and safety. And it is but it’s more or less because I can’t provide necessarily equipment to keep these players say, you know, why his name? You know, let’s just say this about Conference USA. Why are they stolen? Because their money games again, you know, a lot of times, you know, ACC al and big 12 so they still have a couple of money games that can kind of keep their conference going. So ever you know. It’s all amazing, you know? But yesterday no biggie. So the big news or the bigger is that they can’t go basketball or postpone basketball till later on. But you know, they said that decision has nothing to do with basketball in the winter sports will be evaluated, you know, as you get closer to that time, so they know as we stand here the ever changing landscape of college sports,

Guys, the Big East football is now the American conference, you know, years and years ago, you know, a year that you know, in San Diego, you’re hiring college, you know, the, the ACC took the members of Syracuse, Pittsburgh, temple in Miami, or temple. Thank you. kicked out of the big Easter. They’re so horrible in football. They get sent to the Mac conference. There’s so bad in that conference and then luckily the American kind of picked them up

But yes, the Big East Yes, it wasn’t once a Football Conference when I had the, you know, wouldn’t have been now then Marvin Harrison or plants or so he is and I am he was a power pit was a power but that’s not even the same conference I read up, you know, after taking a year to Austin kind of invented the yeast, you know, using the same name. And that’s really what it is. It’s just, you know, Catholic schools across the Northeast now they’ve added Yukon to

Got 10 games you know they got you know they had three ACC games scheduled and I always said they all talk and settle and then one out right in well the video three ACC games and all those days if you can’t pick whatever it is either keep these now in his entire region especially against aging attack and they and they start up again against Syracuse but then since then you know the neck close, then you lose Bowling Green, you know. New Mexico stages Cancel to you and you’re sending as we speak.

So yeah, there’s plenty of opportunities you’re probably looking at to look at BYU and army. Because again, independent schools need to fill out their schedule. Whatever and whoever you Because they lost games against, you know, North Carolina anti Bowling Green UConn I remember the first team that played the game against them. So it’s tough sledding, you know, and I mean, San Diego usually by this time a training camp start, you know, you will have you know, 100 page report on each team, you’re gonna play it, you know, that’s all you do all you know, all spring and early summer is come up with these game plans and never know who you’re playing. This is crazy.

You know, it’s really everything. teaching students how to be made you know and now that we make so you have to make your council smaller conferences canceled and various schools you know Old Dominion you know a Conference USA school went rogue and canceled they’re all their fault even though their conference

what in the world anyways, we’ll definitely be keeping track of course liberty and also some other independent schools what Ryan sounds like he says that liberty will fill their schedule, even if it’s independent schools but there’s a lot.

Yeah, you know, you know, my last little thing about what you know, I know Thailand is coming kind of donor thing about the big boys, you know, Pac 12 and big time, you know, It’s craziness. Pac 12 brilliant, no choice their, you know, their circumstances over their different you know, and there’s not as much hypocrisy with that because Pac 12 they’re not most of those campuses aren’t going to be open in a week that the hypocrisy was, you know, the big 10 is that, you know, they’re opening their doors to hundreds and thousands of students in the next coming week. So now you’re saying for the health and safety, you can’t play football, but then said you’re going to bring in all these kids on the campus. They’re still going to practice 20 hours a week during this time, but yet they can’t play.

Yeah, I mean, why not put these players in pods, you know, put them in a special section on campus. That’s where they they eat, they dine the sleep and everything. And, you know, just leave them in that area. That section. You know, they don’t have families. Most of them don’t have families, I hope but, um, you know, like, why not? That I mean they have the resources for testing big 12 is gonna test people like three times a week everyone’s getting tested three times a week at the big 12 Why couldn’t the big 10 do it?

Yeah, you know it’s crazy Why can one day you know I there’s obviously this you know, heart conditions kind of popped up here you know, it’s kind of I don’t you know, they’re using it as a kind of a bailout no one wants to be liable and they get sued and dies from that you know? No, any hope none of that you don’t want one person to get sick, you know, football player. But you know, notice and all schools want to take liability and using health and safety is hard issue as kind of a bailout for the US president to get out you know, and you feel bad for all these athletes. You know, now you got the players, some of them come back to the senior the play football and now you know, they miss out an opportunity playing professional football. It’s just crazy. You know, so PC eventually, you know, we might be talking you know, In a couple weeks at all five major conferences have decided to fail, you know, and they’re coming up with these plans for this spring debate. And, you know, Coach Brahma Perdue came up with a very detailed list, but this schedule, he only really works, if everybody joins in on, you know, all five conferences have to be willing to play, you know, two short seasons one in the spring and one in the fall. If everybody gets on that, you know, I think it can happen but this is this weird, you know, three conferences playing major conferences playing very bizarre but you know, you you take it as you see it, you know, as you get an image, all we can do is take it in and report it and you know, give our analysis about it, but GC GC teams are big 10 later on decision, I just think, especially for the big 10 I think they just jumped back on. You know, they had time you I think that’s all the big 12. ACC and sec did no one no two conferences said we are definitely playing football no question that they basically said, as we get more information closer season we will make a decision. They don’t say no that yes, we’re definitely playing or not we’re not playing, we’re just delaying our decision. Gonna go ahead and keep practicing, but there’s no guarantee

and something that like the big 10 and maybe the PAC 12 should have done is you know, postpone the season to September 26.

Yeah, so, I mean, I think, you know, that’s what the SEC is, is practice patients, you know, they understand the content, they understand the landscape pushes back as far as you know, push back the season, even the two more weeks, probably and you still do it, it will fire. I mean, the thing The problem with this thing too, but there’s a lot of problems. But you know, I live in the northeast, most of the time is obvious in the Midwest. You’re not going to have To play a bubble, basically what I mean is you gotta be using Detroit Minnesota all those drones in your area to play it okay? So they don’t get to go out in the middle of a blizzard to watch sports and so you have a really issue with climate, you know, and then

I’ve enjoyed, enjoyed some, you know, all day of basketball events, you know, it’s nicer during the season. We probably seen them basketballs on all day so it’s been nice but uh, but now we’re getting into the nitty gritty amount of playoff time. So the season you know, this kind of giving, you know, my thoughts, you know, right now the best team is testing right now you have to say The blazers yeah we talked about this before the placement is a team that was riddled with injuries all year but then if a person before after we send their 3d games back going into this really with you know just kind of a faded chance of making it they go almost running the table here they got the two senators housings Collins and Youssef near carets and Damian Lillard playing out of his mind you know it continue this you know, they’re going to be a tough out in the Western Conference and she that I think matches up very well against the blue air against the Lakers in the first round if they get a chance to play them. But you know, I, I love my Maverick Santiago but they have one kryptonite, and that’s a St. Louis clippers so the fact that they’re playing them in the first round does not bode well for them. For whatever reason, the death of the Clippers, I just have a hard time with them. I think the blaze or the Mavericks flavors with one or two games but I I just it’s gonna be the Clippers are right it’s hard to imagine nntp the Clippers you know once they get healthy get everybody in a bubble they’re definitely you know the cream of the crop I know the Lakers have the big names with a blonde James Anthony Davis but in fact guard play Santiago right now you know they get study minutes you know from jr Smith and waiters but you know you don’t be don’t get that two point guard you know all these are the team without worries though out there so easy Bradley’s I just don’t see you know in a seven game series you know when the Lakers beating the Clippers but you know we’ll talk about more about this a series comes out but they are before playoff predictions in the clippers and the last and then they’re you know To say the heat kind of go with the bucks.
