Damian Lillard scored 42 points, dished out 12 assists and made a critical late defensive play as the Portland Trail Blazers outlasted the Brooklyn Nets 134-133 to reach the NBA’s play-in round Saturday at the Orlando bubble.
Lillard followed up 61 and 51-point performances by shooting 13-of-22 from the field and 8-of-14 from three and C.J. McCollum had 25 points including the eventual game-winning jumper with 53.4 seconds left. But Portland got Brooklyn’s best effort and barely squeaked past the Nets.
