The Troubles of Alabama Football’s Defense

After a resounding win from Alabama 52-24 against Texas A&M, question marks over Alabama’s defense is still a concern, spilling over from last year.

Sports Cast contributor Justin Riley expressed concerns after the game, “We got to get some work done. Man we were giving up too much on third down again. We were giving up to my to many past plays. It just seems like Kellen Mond was able to pick us apart.” Kellen Mond, Texas A&M quarterback had 318 yards against Alabama. “He did himself in but the plays were still there for him to make, it just he didn’t make them at times. But there are several times where he did make some great plays through over 300 yards and three touchdowns. didn’t necessarily bite us with his legs this year, we were able to somewhat contain that, which was good, but he’s still shredded our secondary,” Riley said.

Alabama’s next game is next week October 10th at 6pm ET against Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss. Kiffin was former Alabama’s offensive coordinator a couple of years back. Alabama has 30 point spread against Ole Miss.
