NFL Network’s Mikfe Garafolo was first to report the news. Lawrence is the potential No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and among the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy this season.
According to ACC guidelines, athletes who test positive must isolate for at least 10 days after testing positive or from when symptoms begin. The guidelines could bring Lawrence’s status for Clemson’s showdown with No. 4 Notre Dame next week into question.
