The New York Mets and veteran catcher James McCann agreed to terms Saturday on a four-year deal worth about $40 million, according to industry sources, as the Mets’ second free-agent addition and biggest to date under new owner Steve Cohen and team president Sandy Alderson. The deal will become official once McCann passes a physical.
