A quarterback legend Philip Rivers who played for the Chargers retired and he played the Colts last. Today we got Jordan Vargas and Ryan Krista, welcome back to the sports cast.
Jordan Vargas 1:11
Thank you for having me.
Ryan Christa 1:12
Thank you Santiago. Yeah. Good to be here.
Santiago Leon 1:15
Ryan let’s start with Philip Rivers. Most of his career with the Chargers his last season was with the Colts I believe he’s 38 years old. Ryan What happened? Was this a surprise for you are
Ryan Christa 1:32
I mean now? Yeah, yeah, I mean it’s kind of a little bit of a surprise because like you well we are talking before the show you know, he had a pretty good year you know, roofer 4000 yards nearly beat the bills in a playoff game you know, seemed like they have a lot of momentum have a good core there. And then Annapolis are building but you know, he’s even before the season started a little known fact he’d already accepted a high school coaching job at a new Catholic High School down in South Alabama. So whenever you’re tired, it was the job was his so you know, him and his family are gonna move down there where he’s from, and also know the fact that he’s got nine kids so I think his goal was always to play until you know, you get coaches kids and sport
it’s a good time for him to step away.
Santiago Leon 2:34
Now the Colts made it into the playoffs. They were second in the AFC South would you say this team had potential maybe you know for another season with Phil rivers they would have meshed well like what are your thoughts over this Colts team with Philip Rivers?
Ryan Christa 2:53
Oh absolutely. You know I mean like i said i believe in good court I got some good young running backs defense is starting to really come into its own Yeah, so I mean I really like that culture kind of a weird spot you know, they’re kind of a quarterback away now again from reaching their potential they don’t really have a lot of game breakers left on the outside of wide outs you know, try Hilton’s best days are behind them so you know they’re probably looking at some deaths outside you know they’re wide opposition this year but now I you know they can either go back to Jacoby brissette which is he’s really just kind of a backup quarterback or they’re going to go into the draft or free agency to you know, maybe have Matthew Stafford or Matt Ryan could come in there and step in right away to help out because they are kind of looking for their next Philip Rivers per se right now or you know, go into the draft and kind of restart you know, with the franchise quarterback.
Santiago Leon 3:53
They do you have a take up easson in the quarterback lineup. I’m not sure exactly like the last time I saw him. Is he an option? Or he’s also a another a another backup category there.
Ryan Christa 4:08
Oh, yeah. I mean, you know, he’s kind of a project quarterback. I don’t think he’s ready right now to take the reins. A guy with a monster arm started in Georgia ended up at Washington never really played up to his potential but yeah, that you know, maybe not right now but maybe they get another transition quarterback you know, hold down a spot for your into maybe Jacob basin. I’ll be ready. But I that that’s kind of a long term. answer there.
Santiago Leon 4:38
You don’t have faith there. And keep in mind guys, Colts, only lost by three points against the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo. Absolutely.
Ryan Christa 4:45
Absolutely. You know, I think their defense is outstanding. I got Jonathan Taylor running back, you know, you know, promising really, you know, I have really arrived valor that GM is really a great player. evaluator takes time and really build up this roster you know, strong but again, like any football team, you know, you’re only as good as your quarterback, you know, kind of struggle with Philip Rivers at his age even to get the most out of him. So another year you know, you never know what you’re gonna get
Santiago Leon 5:19
something to definitely look at and we’ll touch on the bills a little bit later in the show to do some NFL predictions. Now time for the NBA we got Jordan Vargas. A lot going on Kyrie Irving is back. I didn’t think he will be back. Yeah, tell us how was his comeback and now with with James Harden and KB this team is shaping up how do you see him so far?
Jordan Vargas 5:42
I see him coming back and really just taking charge having I think that in my opinion, either they’re gonna do good or not. He’s back the missing piece of the puzzle type situation. So now that he’s back, he’s gonna do great.
Santiago Leon 5:58
Ryan Krista, Kyrie Irving, a man of somewhat of controversy. missed a few games. This past couple weeks now he’s back with Brooklyn with a Kevin harden. I’m sorry, James Harden in it, Kevin. How do you see things shaping up in Brooklyn?
Ryan Christa 6:18
Oh, Kyrie Irving to me is the man of mystery, you know, great talent. You know how the Cavaliers win the title several years ago? The guy is kind of a nutcase. Really, you know, either, you know, really no one knows what happened he just kind of disappeared and I think that talking to Trey kind of flustered very easily seems like so I think this you know, when his name kind of service because, you know, they wanted to get James Harden, but they didn’t know what it was gonna take. I mean, in this case, they were able to keep Kyrie Irving, but at the expense of you know, curse lover, Jared Aaron, and a whole bunch of draft picks they don’t have anymore. So that’s really banking. This trio because, you know, when it’s all said and done, there’s not much left on that roster to build around, you know, so they’re gonna need Kyrie to come back, you know, to play up this potential. Again, you know, as long as you know about Kyrie Irving’s career, you know, he’s a deep person kind of thinker, you know, overthink things, I think, you know. So, and he kind of easily flustered I you know, it doesn’t like change, but it kind of wants the ball in his hand. And he was always kind of wanted to be the number one guy and I think that’s why he left Cleveland. And then he went to Boston, you know, then loss ends up getting, you know, Tatum and brown and I’m, you know, he feels like he’s a third man. So, I feel like, you know, I could see him actually going crazy, you know, feeling that same way and wanting his way out of Brooklyn, too. So I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I.
Santiago Leon 8:05
Jordan, thoughts about this roster, as Ryan said, it is tight. Like the load is gonna be gay. And I’m with these three players. You know, like the other night Kevin Durant, you know, I believe Dre had 40 heart and 40 Tyree might have those numbers. How do you see the squad?
Jordan Vargas 8:27
I see him doing great. I said earlier a couple weeks ago that, you know, it’s going to take Duran a little bit to gel with the nets and get comfortable and it seems like he’s broken in that role just fine. I started to put out consistent numbers and with heart in there. I mean, he was only there for a couple of days, and he already made an impact. So they’re gonna do great.
Santiago Leon 8:45
Now, this squad is a higher high powered offense. Yeah, the question is the defense Jordan, can this defense I mean, can they have a defense in this squad?
Jordan Vargas 9:00
Really, I don’t know. The only person I can really see on defense is Kyrie just because he’s a little quicker, runs around more as more speed to him. So it’ll hopefully carry step up on the defensive end. But you know, they definitely got a few other players that can definitely do the job.
Santiago Leon 9:14
Ryan crysta, who can step it up from Brooklyn to have a defensive force?
Ryan Christa 9:19
That is that question. You know, I don’t think you know, I mean, you’re Jared Allen was the primary you know, anchor that team defensively. Really athletic lock shots, you know, protects the rim now he’s gone. So now you got this. They go low to Jordan, DeAndre Jordan and his age. You can’t expect them to go, you know, the other night I played 30 minutes the guy looked like he carried off the court. You know, it man can go hard for 1820 minutes, but you know, who’s gonna step up a name to really look out for his recently released player Alex Lin, who was recently with the Raptors. who just got really I would not be surprised in the coming hours days that he’ll be picked up by Dinesh just for some protecting the rim protects you know Allison won’t give me a much off mentally but you know the big long body and at least you know maybe not in the fourth quarter you or your money players on but you know they they’re gonna need people to step up and protect because you know you’re gonna get penetration from whoever James Harden guarding Kevin Durant’s a decent defender, you know, carries, okay, who’s gonna step up on them? You know? Yeah, yeah she can score on both ends of the court.
Santiago Leon 10:37
Let’s stick with Ryan. I know Jordan mentioned last week that he was not sure this next team will be NBA title contenders playoff contenders, I’m sure. Right. Where do you see them finishing what seed? And do you think they are championship contenders championship
Ryan Christa 10:53
contenders champions coming up? But I do think they can definitely contend you know, with the likes of the box. He and the Celtics? I mean, right your team is only as good as you can keep COVID out of your locker room right now you know so you know that that’s a huge impact right now in the NBA you know who you’re going to have on any given night. But you know, all sudden our knowledge you know, level hopefully towards the end of the season, you know, I definitely think Eastern Conference is going to be a good race some good playoff games. Here got you know, heater, interesting Team Santiago, what do you think down in South Beach? What are you,
Santiago Leon 11:38
man? Well, to be honest with all this college football, NFL football, I’m actually been out of the loop with the Miami Heat. I see they’re a 12th. And they’re not. I mean, they’re not being talked about in town. What are your thoughts about the heat so far? Right. I mean, do you think that
Ryan Christa 11:57
they can come back? You know, I think I think there is a great expectations of this team coming in this year, you know, and they just don’t look the same. They’re a little bit off.
Santiago Leon 12:18
Tell us about your round in Miami.
Jordan Vargas 12:25
Things that are out of Miami. Yeah. Right. So a room to do that. So but definitely need to make some improvements, but they have a great coach with them. So you know, he has experienced bolster his experience so he knows what to do to pick up the pace and I think he will.
Santiago Leon 12:42
Looking at the standings as we speak. Obviously Celtics are first bucks our second sixers, our third pacers are fourth nets. Our fifth Knicks, our numbers next our number six guys, is this this for real? Or this? just you know, we’ll see them like nine four way bottom down in the road. But this is Nick’s team the real deal, or is this just just a temporary thing?
Ryan Christa 13:13
You know, I think right now you’re seeing the likes of a really good coach and Tom tibideaux really trying to change their culture. Wow. You know, the game changers every night, you know, you got some decent individual players. But you know, Julius Randle is around long term, you know, out there, for a while there was an injury, you know, RJ Robinson, he, you know, they’ve done well for themselves, you know, finding some gems out there to to fill up the roster. But I think what you’re seeing right now is a change of culture. You know, this team’s tougher, physically, mentally, you know, it’s gonna help them win some games in the short term. And the long term, you know, I think they’ll kind of, you know, plan out, you know, but, but important, you know, I don’t know, I don’t know when I’ll be in the garden, but basketball being played in the garden. And you know, what, obviously, Brooklyn being,
Unknown Speaker 14:13
you know, next door
Ryan Christa 14:16
contender, you know, it’d be nice to have, you know, it’d be nice to have these Brooklyn New York games. I mean,
Santiago Leon 14:29
these connections are fine. Ryan, you might have to call in on zoom, by the way. Anyways, Jordan, you’re very familiar with. with six. He did something in Chicago. Are you seeing the same thing in New York?
Jordan Vargas 14:45
Yeah, progression and developing players. That’s what tipped is really best at, in my opinion.
Santiago Leon 14:51
What about this roster of the next obviously, Ryan was a little bit critical with this roster.
Jordan Vargas 14:56
I couldn’t agree with him more, to be honest. They just need depth and they don’t have a We have enough players to build off of right now. But, you know, it’s coach’s opportunity to, you know, really develop some players while they’re young.
Santiago Leon 15:10
Hope to see a Subway series or subway rivalry. I know that Brooklyn is more popular. Ryan, you’re still there. Anyways, as we spoke before, we brought up COVID. And the NBA is going through issues right now. Jordan, please give us an update of what’s going on. Is there a lot of players missing out are a lot of players being contracted with COVID? And which teams are being effective being affected the most?
Jordan Vargas 15:41
Oh, well, right now, I kind of was struck news is not so much of a familiar name, but to Cleveland is Kevin Porter, Jr. Kevin Porter, Jr. Well, we’ve seen a pattern in the NBA so far as players are not attending NBA games due to their own personal problems. And that I’m worse yet a continuous pattern I start with Kyrie, now Kevin Porter is soon to be looking at his 10 string game or it was his 10th straight game that he missed. He ran into problems off the court and it seems like the Cavs are looking for a trade to get rid of him. So um, you know, we’re kind of seeing a continuous pattern of players just not showing up to games and you know, not during their duty, but hopefully, you know, that should change. And the NBA COVID affected the NBA it goes from team to team. So really, it’s unpredictable about you know, who can who can really stand who could be the last man standing, but hopefully, you know, they get it a little bit more under control. But I think for the meantime, though, it’s been good.
Santiago Leon 16:40
Is there any fans that are allowed these arenas or is it all like they’re not? Not allowed? Or it really depends on like, the state and the locations?
Jordan Vargas 16:52
I believe it depends on the state in the locations. The Golden State Warriors, they have one of the best health people on deck over there. And they have good protocol and they’ve been able to people have been able to attend the games. Same with New Orleans. And so I mean, really, I don’t know, to be honest, about you know, probably just goes from state to state.
Santiago Leon 17:16
CJ McCollum got an injury recently played for the Portland Trailblazers Tell us about that. And how much in effect would that be for the blazers? Well, he
Jordan Vargas 17:25
fractured his ankle. And this isn’t good, because earlier in his career, he actually broke his ankle. Now it’s unclear if it’s the same ankle or not. But senior column is one of the pieces of the puzzle for Portland, you know, Damian Lillard is is good. But you know from Damian Lillard, his own mouth, they he’ll tell you that he doesn’t really perform the well my opinion as CJ McCollum. Well, damiel are saying, you know, CJ McCollum is good but what I’m saying is I believe they both need to be on the court to be effective. And this this injury could could set him back could set him back
Santiago Leon 17:59
Trail Blazers are sixth place and the West Coast. How you see the squat Jordan this year. I mean, I don’t like what they do better this season than last season.
Jordan Vargas 18:15
You know, I wouldn’t say that just because they also lost their center too. So they’ve been losing a few players due to injuries. And you know, maybe this year they just focus on some upcoming players and upcoming talent that they have, you know, in the back of their bench and at the end of the bench, so we’ll figure it out the point we’ll figure it out there good. A good program.
Santiago Leon 18:34
Ryan. Chris is back on the line. We’re just talking about CJ McCollum recently got an injury ankle injury how much in effect would that be for the Portland Trailblazers
Ryan Christa 18:46
got wrenching you know Robin to their Batman today man you know their coach you guys you know in rep city there but yeah, you’re not gonna fill up that spot you know, again, you know, coming into heels I think you got you know, Jordan mentioned that you know, you should nurture out you know, for a long period of time Washington conference is tough you know, you take your two years three best players out in the lineup for a month it’s gonna be hard to weather that storm You know, they’re gonna need to really step up his game here that kind of hold up hold this team together. You know, then he the likes of a Gary Trent Jr. in his cancer download a really step up to kind of keep pace, you know, and you need to wonder, Carmelo Anthony Santiago. Does he have anything left in the chain to keep this team in playoff contention?
Santiago Leon 19:45
Jordan, does metal have a chance? Does he have it left in the tank? Brown World Championship?
Jordan Vargas 19:53
Does he have experience? Yes. But has he ran into deep playoff experience? No. So I think When he ever gets to that championship opportunities come the first for him to so. But no, I don’t think he has any more left in the tank.
Santiago Leon 20:07
That’s something to take the price he’s still in the league guys.
Jordan Vargas 20:11
Yeah, I remember last year when my last season last season. I mean, he was not even getting signed there was worried that he might not return to the NBA and then Portland picked him up.
Ryan Christa 20:22
Can you believe that? Can you believe that Ryan? San Diego, it was kind of a marriage, you know, Carmela wasn’t ready to hang it up. And Portland desperately needed scoring up and it’s not, you know, weighing how they both need each other, you know, and he, you know, he and his age, you know, he’s not gonna be able to deliver every night. You know, that’s the problem, you know, worth is the situation now, you know, they’re gonna need to step up and play happy minutes. They’re not gonna give you you know, those big numbers, but can you hit those shots? Can you play the fourth quarter? You know, can the offense run through him at times, you know, and games on the bench? That’s what I need them to kind of help that during this process. But yeah, it’s gonna be a tough stretch for the travelers as a team. I think we’re destined to make the playoffs this year in the West, which is not easy. But, you know, they can all of course, you know, stay 500 during this time, you know, next in the back end of the schedule, they can stay healthy. I think they’ll be okay.
Jordan Vargas 21:27
Yeah, I don’t think I’m I was gonna put up New York numbers, but he’s definitely gonna
Santiago Leon 21:32
bring 15 points
Ryan Christa 21:34
from him. Yeah, yeah. Well, you know, this is an interesting back, though, you know, we talked about the age of Carmelo and we talked, you know,
Santiago Leon 21:43
he’s 38, right?
Don’t look that up for me. But here,
Ryan Christa 21:52
here’s the thing, you know, he’s only one year older than you know, LeBron is still putting up ridiculous numbers. That’s how he’s still in his prime, isn’t he? He’s actually only
Santiago Leon 22:04
36 years old.
Unknown Speaker 22:09
You’re 30 fidget crazy? Yeah. Well, I like 36. Next a week from yesterday.
Ryan Christa 22:17
But anyways, that’s how you know, oh, come at, you know, the throw some respect on the Brian, you know, hate unlike, um, you know, whatever about him personally, a guy is a an animal physically, you know, putting up MVP, like numbers. And he’s really changed his game since he’s been in Los Angeles, you know, maybe had the score, score, and he wants to, but he’s really turned into one of the best pastors in the NBA right now. They kind of building the team around that getting some shooting around him. And him and Anthony Davis are quite the tandem.
Santiago Leon 22:53
And that’s why I mean, there’s a reason why he was picked in the draft back in Oh, three in it and like the top 10 so this guy has talent. He went through a dip, but he’s coming back and I’m trying to compare it to another player but I would say
Ryan Christa 23:10
you know, Chris Paul, who was off Chris, Paul, Sony, me, you know, playing at a pretty decent level for the suns you know, really changing their team around but still you he’s not putting me up not Yeah, he’s a great locker room guy, I think culture guy you know, you know, he didn’t you know, make the shots, but you know, not gonna play those huge minutes as he did years ago, you know, but at the same time, you know, that, you know, Chris Paul in the brown have really done a great job of preserving their bodies, you know, in really true professional.
Santiago Leon 23:43
They’re probably on TV, or anything else on mellow Jordan. Any final words before we bottle this up?
Unknown Speaker 23:49
Nope, just okay.
Santiago Leon 23:51
Yeah, no, one game that got me curious. But you guys might say now it’s nothing. Warriors being the Lakers. 115 113 this past Monday, Jordan, how significant is that game? I mean, the warriors. They have some sparks in it. But how significant was that game?
Jordan Vargas 24:08
Well, Los Angeles is 11 foreign wars are seven and six. And the more is lost the Pacers a couple of weeks back. So what we’re seeing is a lot of inconsistencies. In games. You can never really Guess who’s gonna win, but the Warriors winning this was big. Now we got to remember it wasn’t by a lot. It wasn’t a blowout. It was only by two points that could have easily been scored if there is more time on the clock, but it’s gonna help them significantly. Give them more confidence and just approach the game a little bit more hard.
Santiago Leon 24:41
Ryan, Krista, how do you see this warrior squad? Of course they’re minus Klay Thompson. Do you think this team could do some big things this season?
Ryan Christa 24:50
Oh, definitely. You know, this is definitely still a playoff team. Obviously missing. Clay takes a lot of I think a championship team per se but
Santiago Leon 25:00
Clay Thompson this year guys.
Ryan Christa 25:02
Yeah, top four. Oh absolutely. Yeah. Here’s the thing you know you’ve got some developed you got James Wiseman who’s playing you know pretty good for you know, rookie, Andrew Wiggins i think is a key you know cuz that guy has been up and down in his career mostly down you know he’s always been traded or you know moved on potential you know this guy can be good he can he can be kind of a second scorer along with curry right now it’s just a matter of you know game in and game out Can you do that? You know you’re you know what you’re gonna get from Draymond and I think j mind coming back really took a little you know, he would dream I can do he can run the offense you know and get he can allow curry to come off screens and move around and get open. And that was evident I think when it first came back that’s when curry went off for 62 points. Quite interesting.
Santiago Leon 25:55
Well, I actually speaking about carry I actually bought some Under Armour running shoes. This past week. I like it. You know, I’m been a Nike all my life. So Under Armour I recommend it but it’s not a sponsor of the show, which they were. Anyways Jordan, anything else for the NBA before we we move on to predictions? No. Yeah, cuz I’m seeing the nba.com and don’t have much all about Irvin McCollum. And Steve Nash says it’s okay. It’s okay. Anyways, Ryan, anything else before we head into predictions?
Ryan Christa 26:27
I know that because basketball.
Santiago Leon 26:29
Oh my god. Yes. What’s going on with Gonzaga?
Ryan Christa 26:33
Gonzaga is clear and cut number one team in the country. Are you sure? Absolutely. You know, played Wait, what makes a number one obviously the conference isn’t the greatest but what they did in the ATA conference, you know, they scored 98 points against Tony Bennett, Coach Virginia, Team B Iowa beat Kansas court 105 points against Kansas. Be Auburn beat West Virginia. And kind of right now since I’ve been in lead. I feel like they’ve kind of taken the foot off the pedal cuz you don’t need to bring that a game every time, which is kind of dangerous. You know, they’re still they had a game against Baylor canceled literally at the last second due to some positive tests of COVID rate before tip off but I’m hoping to get that game rescheduled you know, next month before the tournament which would be which would be a nice match. Check to see what Gonzaga has three legitimate go to scores and Jalen Suggs, Joe Timmy and Cory Casper, you know all players who can go off Jalen Sachs as a freshman probably likely a top three pick in the NBA Draft you know, really defensive assassin you know, fun the Minneapolis area where he was Mr. Basketball and Mr. football in the state of Minnesota and cousins to once NFL player Terrelle Suggs. And then you got Corey Casper at a four year starter for Gonzaga who’s gotten better each and every year when, you know, a deadly outside shooter. And Jude Timmy, you know, kind of filling the likes of that, you know, the traditional pose play that Gonzaga has. They do great work with their posts, man, you know, building their footwork up. So yes, this is a dangerous team. When you look at Baylor who is the clear cut number two team doesn’t have the weapons offensively but what Bailey does is they’re so fundamentally sound defensively. They do have a go to score and Jared but they’re, you know, towards the end the game a little bit smaller, I think Gonzaga would be able to you know, score inside but you know, consistently I don’t think you’re gonna get the open shots. Gonzaga traditionally gets in a against most of their opponents.
Santiago Leon 28:35
Jordan Vargas. Yeah, sorry. Go ahead, Ryan. Sorry. No, no,
Ryan Christa 28:40
no, I’m good. I’m good.
Santiago Leon 28:42
Yeah, so Gonzaga is number one in the AP top 25. Jordan. I’m not sure if you follow college basketball, but any opinion on what Ryan said? Oh, well, I
Jordan Vargas 28:50
thought gentlemen suck when he was in high school. He was teammates with Chet Homer who is now a senior. seven foot tall.
Santiago Leon 28:58
That’s pretty tall. Jordan.
Jordan Vargas 28:59
Yeah. Huge recruit. So I watched him in high school and, you know, obviously dominated football too. So a great athlete and I’m excited to see him in the NBA. Gonzaga number one in the country.
Santiago Leon 29:14
Yeah, with Baylor number two Villanova. Third, Iowa, fourth, Texas, fifth, Tennessee, seventh Michigan. Yeah. And then Houston, eighth, Kansas ninth, Wisconsin. 10th. So I’ve seen a lot of big 10 teams there. So they
Ryan Christa 29:27
know. So you got you got your two top teams, but the best conference in college basketball, burned London a big 10 conference. You know, this one is Michigan, Michigan, led by former NBA player juwan Howard, former of the you know, right Michigan player himself you know the Fab Five Yeah. So you know, he you know, they’re doing great things areas of you know, great recruiter, Wisconsin doing you know, playing Wisconsin like basketball and nothing crazy about it, but they get the job done. You know, Minnesota has a solid team Indiana solid. So yes, this is a really good basketball conference. I don’t know that the national championship team in there but all said and done in March when they’re picking the tournament, I would like them probably get eight to nine teams in the tournament.
Santiago Leon 30:18
That’s our college basketball update. There was not much madness in college basketball
Ryan Christa 30:22
yet. Yeah, it’s it’s pretty quiet. Honestly, I guess anything else in the world is affected by
Santiago Leon 30:27
me crazy. But that’s because yeah,
Ryan Christa 30:30
I mean, let’s just think about this Villanova place in Hall last night. I mean, I’m 7674 I hadn’t played Yeah, didn’t play a game for 27 days. And that’s a long time. And I midsummer a season not to play any regular season game. So the stories I guess, yeah, stories like this are rampant through sports, obviously. And the NBA, we got a little bit of an issue. You know, the wizards have had five straight games postponed, I believe. So they’re gonna have a pretty crazy back end of the schedule going on. But I mean, my you know, like, uh, you know, the Dallas Mavericks, you know, the team that I followed closely, while they’re, you know, they, Luca and Kp are still playing, you know, therefore roleplayers that they depend on to play each and every night. It’s a long time aren’t in the lineup due to COVID or contract chasing, you know, is really effective during a three game losing streak because they’re lacking you know, that depth of players that you know, you depend on each and every night.
Santiago Leon 31:26
There you have it. That is our basketball update of the show, college and NBA. We’re going into predictions. I You guys ready? Yep. NBA preaches Mavericks at Indiana. Jordan.
Jordan Vargas 31:42
Dallas, hopefully they can they can bounce back. I’ll give it to Dallas.
Santiago Leon 31:45
You’d be nice to Ryan Ryan, Dallas, Indiana.
Ryan Christa 31:49
We need this one San Diego would not want a four game losing streak. Myles Turner from the Pacers doesn’t look like he’s played he’s got day to day with a fracture you know, bone in his ankle, which is as crazy as day to day but whatever. I’ll go Jordan, let’s go let’s go mass Go man. I’m
Unknown Speaker 32:07
gonna support Mark Cuban Mark Cuban okay.
Santiago Leon 32:12
A Boston Celtics at the Sixers Jordan Who do you have for this North East Darby
Unknown Speaker 32:21
Come on. sixers Ryan.
Ryan Christa 32:25
are two teams that also been ravaged by COVID and sell by the Sixers are getting back Steph Curry tonight and I like to you know them to beat up the Celtics to
Santiago Leon 32:36
Miami at Toronto. Right Jordan?
Jordan Vargas 32:44
I’ll be nice to go Miami just because like Duncan Robinson, Milan here.
Santiago Leon 32:49
Okay, you say Toronto. Ryan, Krista.
Ryan Christa 32:54
I’m gonna go with the Toronto slash Tampa. Raptors here. Right. Yeah. They’re improving you know, they had a really rough start, you know, you know, like I said earlier in the show, they released Alexander backup center and basically they start airing bands for five minutes each. And then they put in Chris Bashara who is are well traveled young kids. I think you’re only 2425 years old, bounced around in college. Even by high school, I think he was born in St. Lucia moved to Montreal. Went to Wyoming transferred to Oregon. And then you know, he was drafted I thought it was drafted by Vanessa’s third NBA team um but really a solid you know, young kid who has really changed the way they’ve been playing and this is a five out offense when they’re going louhi and see calm and Oceana been out you know that dangerous team. But I said you know, I think the Raptors have won the game
Jordan Vargas 33:56
for them fleets from the town right next to me too so
Ryan Christa 34:00
oh yeah yeah solid solid guard you know they got the guards are good you know they gotta get a little bit younger replaced Lowery here with some bright you know, eventually here but yeah, they were they definitely struggled early on I think you know, there when you lose ibaka and Gasol, you know, even though they’re a little bit older, you know, they really, those are hard pieces two foundational pieces to overcome, you know, to replace replace. Yes.
Santiago Leon 34:27
So why can’t you anyways, San Antonio at the Warriors, let’s pick up the pace guys.
Jordan Vargas 34:37
Warriors.
Unknown Speaker 34:39
