The New York Football Giants signed running back Matt Breida on Monday. Breida, 27, played the first three seasons of his career with the 49ers before playing for the Dolphins and Bills the past two years.
The Giants had lacked depth behind Saquon Barkley, who has been the subject of trade speculation this offseason, as the Giants deal with salary cap constraints. They cut veteran Devontae Booker earlier this month.
