Jokic wins NBA MVPDenver Nuggets superstar center Nikola Jokic has been voted as the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the second straight year, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 27-year-old averaged 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists over 74 games with the Nuggets in 2021-22, his fourth year with the Nuggets.
Jokic also won the award last season and has been named an All-Star the past four seasons.
76ers tie the series with Heat 2-2 in crucial Game 4 116-108
The Philadelphia 76ers have new life in their Eastern Conference semifinals series against the Miami Heat following their 116-108 victory in Game 4 on Sunday night. After losing the first two games without the services of Joel Embiid, Philadelphia has bounced back in a. major way on their home floor with the team’s MVP candidate on the floor.
In the end, Jimmy Butler led all scorers with 40 points but it was the Sixers’ balanced attack, led by James Harden’s 31 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds that ultimately led to the win for Philly to even the series. ITS A SERIES: Mavericks tie series against Suns with Game 4 win
After dropping two games on the road, the Dallas Mavericks tied their second-round series against the Phoenix Suns with a 111-101 victory on Sunday. The Mavs were scorching to start Game 4, shooting 8 for 13 from deep in the first quarter, and they led by as many as 17 points before halftime.
Luka Doncic shot just 1 for 10 from deep but finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, 11 assists, and four steals in 37 minutes. Dallas forward Dorian Finney-Smith shot 8 for 12 from 3-point range and scored 24 points. Reserves Spencer Dinwiddie, Maxi Kleber, and Davis Bertans scored a combined 33 points and shot 7-for-13 from deep. Dallas made 20 3-pointers as a team.
Kings to hire Warriors assistant Mike Brown as head coach
The Kings have agreed with Mike Brown on a four-year deal to make him their new head coach, sources told ESPN’s, Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Kings finalized a deal with Brown on Sunday after negotiating over the weekend, sources said. Brown comes to the Kings with a clear organizational mandate: End the longest playoff drought in the NBA and return the Kings to the postseason for the first time in 16 years.
