The Washington Commanders moved defensive end Chase Young to the reserve/physically unable to perform list Monday, meaning he will miss at least the first four games of the 2022 NFL season.
By moving Young to the reserve/PUP list he does not count against the Commanders’ 80-man roster. NFL teams must trim down to the 80-player limit by Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
Commanders coach Ron Rivera had previously announced that Young would not be ready to return for Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
