The New York Mets agreed to a two-year, $86 million deal with Justin Verlander with a vesting option for the third season, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed.
Verlander, 39, is the reigning AL Cy Young winner and helped lead the Astros to a World Series victory in his first season back after Tommy John surgery.
Right-hander Justin Verlander and the New York Mets are in agreement on a contract, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN.
