Quarterback Derek Carr informed the Las Vegas Raiders that he won’t accept a trade to the New Orleans Saints or any other team, sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Las Vegas wanted a third-round draft pick in exchange for Carr but is now expected to release him, making him a free agent, ESPN Jeremy Fowler reports.
The Saints and Raiders had a framework agreement in place for Carr, but his $40.4-million contract that would be fully guaranteed as of Feb. 14 was an issue.
