Bayern Munich appointed Thomas Tuchel as their new head coach after sensationally sacking Julian Nagelsmann on Thursday, according to insider Fabrizio Romano.
The club hierarchy held internal discussions over Nagelsmann’s future after Bayern slipped to second place and one point behind Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga table over the weekend.
Former Dortmund boss Tuchel has been out of work since Chelsea fired him in September 2022. He’s signed a contract through 2025 with Bayern, Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
