Rob Manfred is expected to receive majority support from owners to be re-elected as Major League Baseball commissioner when a vote takes place next week, Evan Drellich and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic report.
“No doubt, there never was,” a source told Drellich and Rosenthal. “It’s a foregone conclusion.”
Manfred’s current contract ends January 25, 2025. However, his 18-month window to be re-elected for another term reportedly starts Tuesday.
