Los Angeles Rams running back Sony Michel has informed the team he has decided to retire, head coach Sean McVay told reporters Saturday.
Michel signed a one-year deal with the Rams in June. He previously spent one season with L.A. in 2021 after being acquired in a trade from the New England Patriots.
The 28-year-old signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2022. He was released by the Dolphins before the season but signed with the Los Angeles Chargers in August. He only had 36 carries for 106 yards for the Chargers last season before being released in December.
