Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested and charged with assault and strangulation following an incident with his girlfriend, a team source confirmed to The Athletic’s Kelly Iko.
Both charges are felonies.
A New York Police Department spokesperson said the incident occurred early Monday morning at a New York City hotel where the couple stayed, Iko reports.
