Los Angeles Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani announced that he underwent elbow surgery Tuesday.
Ohtani didn’t disclose the type of surgery he underwent.
The doctor who performed the procedure said the 29-year-old will be able to hit without any restrictions by Opening Day of 2024 and return to pitching by 2025, Ohtani’s agent said in a statement obtained by the Washington Post’s Chelsea Janes.
