Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is increasingly likely to stay put with the Longhorns for the 2024 season, sources told Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Ewers’ camp reportedly believes another year of development at Texas would set him up better for long-term NFL success. His potential return could attract players to Texas once the transfer portal opens Monday, per Thamel.
Ewers has had a tremendous redshirt sophomore campaign, throwing for 2,709 yards with 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. His 69.8 completion percentage leads the Big 12 and is a step up from his 58.1 mark last season.
