New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is unlikely to return from his Achilles injury this season, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Unless the 4-7 Jets are fighting for a playoff spot later in the month, Rodgers is expected to sit out the remainder of the 2023 campaign, Rapoport adds.
The Jets, who opened Rodgers’ 21-day practice window this week, could reportedly activate him to the 53-man roster before Dec. 20 to serve as the emergency quarterback on game day.
