HOU-NYJ

Zach Wilson threw a pair of second-half touchdown passes in his return from a two-game benching, New York shut down C.J. Stroud before Houston’s star rookie quarterback left late with a concussion and the Jets ended a five-game losing streak with a 30-6 victory over the Texans on Sunday.

Wilson was 27 of 36 for 301 yards — his third career game of 300 or more yards — after sitting in favor of the since-waived Tim Boyle. And that came despite Wilson facing consistent pressure all game and being sacked four times.

The New York Jets defeated the Houston Texans 30-6. The Jets scored 30 points in the third and fourth quarters, led by quarterback Zach Wilson.

Wilson threw for over 300 yards with a 77.1% adjusted completion rate and averaged 8.1 yards per attempt.

He also threw two second-half touchdowns, including a 44-yarder for the final score.

LAR-BAL

In his first game returning punts as a pro, Tylan Wallace ran one back 76 yards for a touchdown in overtime to lift the Ravens to a 37-31 victory over Los Angeles on Sunday, snapping the Rams’ three-game winning streak.

Lamar Jackson passed for 316 yards and Stafford for 294.

Baltimore Ravens defeated the Los Angeles Rams 37–31 in overtime.

The Ravens’ Tylan Wallace returned a 76-yard punt for a touchdown, ending the Rams’ three-game winning streak. Wallace’s walk-off play was his first as a pro, and he became the fourth player in NFL history to score a touchdown on a punt return in overtime

The Ravens’ win was their first overtime victory since Week 9 of 2021 against the Vikings.

CAR-NO

Derek Carr returned from a recent concussion and upper body injuries to throw late touchdown passes to Chris Olave and Jimmy Graham, and the Saints beat the hapless Carolina Panthers 28-6 on Sunday to pull back into a tie atop the feeble NFC South.

Rookie Bryce Young’s season-long struggles continued. The first overall draft choice finished 13 of 36 for 137 yards and lost a fumble in the first half. He was sacked four times.

The New Orleans Saints beat the Carolina Panthers 28–6

Derek Carr threw two late touchdown passes to Chris Olave and Jimmy Graham. Carr returned from a concussion and upper body injuries to lead the Saints to victory.

He threw the ball 26 times, gaining 119 yards. 37% of his yards came on a 44-yard completion to A.T. Perry.

Saints linebacker Nephi Sewell also blocked a punt for a special teams touchdown.

The Panthers are 28–29 against the Saints all-time. They are 14–14 at home and 14–15 on the road.

IND-CIN

Making his third NFL start, the 27-year-old Jake Browning was outstanding again on Sunday, throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for a score as Cincinnati beat the Indianapolis Colts 34-14.

Gardner Minshew threw for 240 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Colts, whose offense stalled after halftime.

Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Indianapolis Colts 34-14 at Paycor Stadium. The Bengals were in control for most of the game and dominated the Colts in the second half. The Bengals’ defense is among the worst in the NFL, especially against the run.

TB-ATL

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 29-25 on December 10, 2023. The win secured the Buccaneers a share of first place in the NFC South.

The game was close and frustrating throughout.

The Falcons took a 25-22 lead on a touchdown run by Desmond Ridder in the fourth quarter. However, the Buccaneers regained control with a 75-yard three-minute drive.

With 31 seconds left in regulation, Baker Mayfield hit Cade Otton on an 11-yard touchdown pass to give the Buccaneers the win

JAX-CLE

Flacco passed for 311 yards and three touchdowns — two to tight end David Njoku — in his home debut for Cleveland, and the Browns survived a late rally by Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars for a 31-27 win Sunday.

Flacco has thrown for 565 yards and five touchdowns in two starts. Although Browns coach Kevin Stefanski never announced his starting quarterback for this week’s game, he quickly confirmed that he’ll ride with Flacco the rest of the way.

DET-CHI

The Lions rallied in the second quarter to take a 13–10 lead into the halftime locker room. However, the momentum did not carry over into the second half. The Bears made all the plays down the stretch to put the game away.

This was the Lions’ first loss to the Bears since 2021. The Bears’ 28–13 victory over the Lions marked their second consecutive victory over a divisional rival.

Fields completed 19 of 33 passes for 223 yards. He also ran for 58 yards, giving him 2,021 in his career and joining Bobby Douglass (2,470) as the only Bears quarterbacks with 2,000 yards rushing.

The Chicago Bears defeated the Detroit Lions 28–13 at Soldier Field. The Bears scored 28 points, 326 yards, and 19 first downs. The Lions scored 13 points, but were outscored 18–0 in the final 30 minutes.

SEA-SF

Deebo Samuel scored two touchdowns, George Kittle had a long TD catch and Christian McCaffrey ran for 145 yards to lead the 49ers to their 11th straight division win, 28-16 over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Brandon Aiyuk added 126 yards receiving as the quartet of playmakers for the 49ers (10-3) combined for 505 yards from scrimmage on the day to move San Francisco to the brink of winning back-to-back NFC West titles for the first time since 2011-12.

McCaffrey had a 72-yard run on the first play from scrimmage for San Francisco to set up a short TD run by Jordan Mason. Brock Purdy and Samuel took over from there after Purdy threw an early interception.

Seahawks QB Drew Lock finished 22 for 31 for 269 yards with two TDs and two interceptions.

The 49ers’ offense produced:

MIN-LV

Viking’s Only Greg Joseph’s 36-yard field goal with 1:57 left that gave the Vikings a 3-0 victory over the Raiders prevented the teams from setting the league back 80 years.

It was the first 3-0 game since Pittsburgh beat Miami on Nov. 26, 2007, the third in the past 40 years and the seventh in the Super Bowl era. The last game that ended regulation scoreless was a 0-0 tie between the New York Giants and Detroit Lions on Nov. 7, 1943.

Dobbs was 10 of 23 for 63 yards; Mullens completed 9 of 13 passes for 83 yards.

Aidan O’Connell completed 21 of 32 passes for 171 yards with an interception, but the quarterback wasn’t the only one at fault.

DEN-LAC

Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos put themselves back in the AFC playoff race Sunday with a 24-7 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, whose season continues to go further off the rails after quarterback Justin Herbert broke a finger in the first half.

Russell Wilson completed 21 of 33 passes for 224 yards for two touchdowns, including a 46-yard TD to Courtland Sutton in the third quarter.

Herbert was 9 of 17 for 96 yards with an interception before being injured, apparently while he was taken down awkwardly by Denver’s Zach Allen after throwing a pass. He tried to grip the ball on the sideline after that drive but wasn’t able to do it properly.

The Broncos defense finished with six sacks and a pair of turnovers. They also held the Chargers to a combined 1 of 18 on third- and fourth-down conversions.

Easton Stick completed 13 of 24 passes for 179 yards in Herbert’s place. He had played two NFL snaps in five seasons with Los Angeles before replacing the Bolts’ franchise quarterback with 1:52 remaining in the second quarter. His best throw was a 57-yard strike to Quentin Johnston during the fourth quarter. Four plays later, Austin Ekeler put Los Angeles on the board with a 4-yard TD.

BUF-KC

The pass from Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce, which was then lateraled across the field to Kadarius Toney, for the 49-yard score was called back by an offside penalty on none other than Toney himself.

And when the Bills proceeded to hold the Chiefs on downs, they escaped from Arrowhead Stadium with a heart-stopping and head-scratching 20-17 victory.

The Bills’ Josh Allen threw for 233 yards with touchdowns running and throwing, though he also threw an interception for the ninth consecutive game. James Cook had 58 yards rushing and caught five passes for 83 yards and a score.

Mahomes finished with 271 yards passing and a touchdown with an interception, and Rashee Rice had seven catches for 72 yards and the score. But it wasn’t enough to keep the Chiefs from losing for the fourth time in six games.

PHI-DAL
Dak Prescott threw for two touchdowns, Brandon Aubrey made four field goals to start his career a record 30 for 30, and the Cowboys pulled even in the division with their 15th consecutive home victory, 33-13 over the Eagles on Sunday night.

Prescott was 24 of 39 for 271 yards, and the Cowboys limited Hurts to 197 yards passing and 30 rushing.
