Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson will miss the remainder of the season after suffering ACL and MCL injuries, head coach Kevin O’Connell announced Tuesday.
The two-time Pro Bowler is among the most productive tight ends this season, ranking second at the position in catches (96), third in yards (960), and seventh in touchdown receptions (five).
The loss of Hockenson is a major blow to the Vikings’ playoff hopes. Minnesota’s chances of making the postseason dropped to 28% after losing to the Detroit Lions on Sunday, according to The New York Times’ playoff simulator.
