Commanders head coach Ron Rivera and his staff are “well aware” that Rivera’s time with Washington is coming to an end, sources told The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.
Washington is expected to perform an “exhaustive and comprehensive” search for Rivera’s replacement under new majority owner Josh Harris, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Rivera, who turns 62 on Sunday, is in his fourth campaign with the club. He owns a 26-39-1 record with the team entering Week 18’s clash with the Dallas Cowboys.
