Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told his players Tuesday that he plans on returning for the 2024 season, sources told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
The report comes amid speculation that Tomlin would step away from the team. He also told his players those rumors are unfounded, Garafolo adds.
Tomlin is set to enter the final year of his contract. He’s expected to address the media this week, per Garafolo.
Pittsburgh is coming off a 31-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the wild-card round. Tomlin walked out of the postgame press conference when he was asked about his future with the club.
