The Atlanta Falcons interviewed Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh for their vacant head coach role, the team announced Tuesday.
Harbaugh owns a 118-46 record as a collegiate coach from his time with Stanford (2007-10) and Michigan (2015-23). The Wolverines recently beat Washington 34-13 to capture the College Football Playoff National Championship.
He also amassed a 44-19-1 record leading the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-14, his lone stint as an NFL head coach. The team made Super Bowl XLVII during the 2012 season before losing to the Baltimore Ravens, coached by brother John Harbaugh.
