The Charlotte Hornets received permission to speak with Stockton Kings bench boss Lindsey Harding for their head coaching vacancy, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Harding was recently named G League Coach of the Year after guiding the Sacramento Kings’ affiliate club to a 24-10 record and the No. 1 overall seed during her first year in charge.
Harding went into coaching following a decade-long professional career. The Phoenix Mercury selected her with the No. 1 overall pick in 2007 and subsequently dealt her to the Minnesota Lynx. She made the WNBA All-Rookie Team that same year.
